YOU CAN HOMESCHOOL! Be Inspired, Be Informed, Be Empowered! A Homeschooling Conference in Manila

I am very happy to announce that a homeschool conference is set to happen in Manila on November 16, 2013! If you are a family who already homeschools, or you are contemplating homeschooling, this conference is perfect for you. Aside from meeting other like-minded families, letting your children make friends with fellow homeschoolers, you will definitely learn more about homeschooling in the Philippines. I hope to see you there!

Homeschooling is a global movement that is now becoming a viable option for Filipino families who want to provide their children with education beyond a classroom’s walls.

Manila Workshops, a company dedicated to continuing education for professional and personal goals, and The Learning Basket, an advocacy that inspires parents to be their children’s first and best teacher, have come together to offer an event jam-packed with information and inspiration about homeschooling that will help parents who are considering to educate their children at home.

You Can Homeschool! Be Inspired, Be Informed, Be Empowered! Is a day-long event happening on November 16, 2013, Saturday, 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM at One Events and Café, One Corporate Center, Julia Vargas corner Meralco Ave, Pasig City.

Parents who are exploring, or are unsure of their homeschooling path, are encouraged to attend You Can Homeschool to gain an intimate look and understanding of home education. The key speakers of this event, Thammie Sy, Frannie Daez, and Edric Mendoza, have all found their calling in homeschooling their children.

Here are some highlights to look forward to:

· Be inspired by our speakers as they share about homeschooling from the heart, developing the homeschooling mindset, and how to homeschool in the Philippines

· Testimonials from children who have experienced learning at home.

· An overview of the homeschooling providers in the country, and the various services that they offer.

· Intimate break-out discussions with homeschooling parents

At the end of this summit, we hope to inspire parents to take on an active role in the education of their child. We aim to help them be informed of the realities of homeschooling, and learn how they can do it, too. Lastly, we want parents to be empowered with the inspiration and knowledge they have gained to take on the role of “teacher” in their homes.
