I spent almost the first three weeks of August suffering in the hospital because of a really bad case of diarrhea. When I got out and my good friend, Not Your Ordinary Mum Millie, reminded me that we had a date to try out Sabroso! at Midas Hotel, I was very eager to go. Remember, before this, my diet consisted mainly of bland hospital food. I really needed some comfort food served in luxurious, beautiful surroundings. It was my first time to step foot in the famed Midas Hotel and Casino and the lobby did not disappoint. The hotel itself was not so big but the lobby was spacious, flowing and beautiful. I had toRead more …

Time for A Change at Fringe Salon PH Alabang

Sep 10, 2014 | Posted by in Weight Loss | 2
Such a clean and fresh smelling salon!

With the change brought about by my weight loss, I have a wish to also change my whole look. I was thinking that the new look should come about when I have already lost a significant amount of weight – like reaching 50% of my weight loss goal. I have already decided that one of the first things I’ll be doing is to change my hair color. This is something that I’ve never done in my life and it excites me. Last June, an opportunity presented itself to me through Mrs. C. Cuyugan who invited me to try out this new salon at Alabang. Of course I immediately accepted and asked if I can haveRead more …

EmergingInfluentialBlogs2014WritingProjectr1_thumb.jpg

I have been observing Ms. Janette Toral for about two years now and I find her so admirable. She is truly a digital influencer and knows what she is talking about. I have been able to attend an one of her free webcasts before and learned so much from her. Since then, I’ve been praying to attend her Certified Blog and Social Media Entrepreneur Program but the tuition stops me. When I learned about the Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs 2014 Writing Project and found out that joining this would qualify me to attend as a delegate to the Digital Influencers Marketing Summit, I simply couldn’t pass it up.  This is also a chance forRead more …

I’ve had some people asking me on my Facebook fan page about homeschooling and whether there will be a homeschooling conference this year. My answer has always been that I will be announcing it on my blog. Well, I’ve been busy the past few weeks so the announcements have been posted first on my Facebook account and my partners’ sites here and here. The happy news is that I was invited to become a part of this conference and it has got me excited but working extra hard to make it a successful event. We have been working hard to bring you the best possible speakers – people who have been in the homeschooling trenchesRead more …

Are you looking for a place to dine where you will also be entertained by a host of popular movie characters? Where the servers are also popular movie characters? Where you can feast your eyes on life-sized models of Spider-Man, Terminator, Shrek, Iron Man and many others? Then The Movie Stars Cafe is the place for you and your family to enjoy. We were invited to try out their food and entertainment last month and may I say that our family had a blast! When we arrived we were greeted by hosts that looked like Pocahontas. My attention was immediately caught by their entrance design. Upon entering the restaurant, the life-sized characters of Batman, IronRead more …

The Necessity of a Weight Loss Support Group – Eats Right! Motivational Meet Ups

It’s hard to lose weight, right? I should know because I’ve gone on a roller coaster of weight loss and gain through the years and I was never successful at it. Every time I try to lose weight, I begin with good intentions to exercise and eat less. As the days go by with no one keeping me accountable, I would start skipping days without exercise, or start eating my favorite foods again until I’ve totally forgotten about my weight loss goal. That was in the past. Now that I’m dead serious about losing weight, I am surrounding myself with people who would help me go on and some who would keep me accountable. AsRead more …

Padrelanan Challenge Update: Weight Loss In Action

may2014.jpg

It’s been three months since we went on our weight loss journey as a family. With respect to the other members of my family, I am only sharing my own weight loss updates and not theirs. Maybe sometime in the future I’ll talk about them but for now, I’m all you’ve got. Although I did not start losing weight in September, I chose that photo because I’m wearing the same jeans in both photos. In the September photo, I’ve had to really suck my gut in to zip those jeans. For the May photo, it now fits me comfortably. No gut-sucking involved. Here are my stats: 2/28/2014 4/21/2014 5/6/2014 Normal Ranges: Weight: 234.8 lbs 226.5 lbs 221.6 lbs 106.5 – 144 lbsRead more …
