Major Life Changes

It has been quite some time since my last post. To be exact, my last post was on December 2012. Not writing for so long makes it difficult for me to pick up where I left off. I don’t plan to do that in this post. Instead, I’d like to talk about my life-changes and how it will be affecting the direction of this blog. Online casino Ireland. ###

First off, as I have shared a bit on this blog, my son, Zachary, died when he was 8 weeks old. His death, including my own birthing experience where I almost died, brought about a big change in my life. Having almost died myself and having my baby die afterwards, has brought on so many realizations to me. I would like to devote a portion of my blog posts writing about these life changes.

Two months after our son’s death, I found a job. Now I work full-time from home for an American company. I’ve learned a lot about myself and increased my knowledge in Social Media. In working from home, I have joined the ranks of work-at-home moms or WAHMS. My kids are still homeschooling and it has not been easy doing both. Homeschooling will still be a huge part of this blog, but now, being a WAHM will also be a part of this blog.

This year alone, I have been to the hospital two times already. One for an emergency laparoscopic surgery to take out my swollen gall bladder. A month after, I was confined again for infectious diarrhea. Just a week after going home, I had pneumonia on top of asthma. Needless to say, it has been scary for me to be sick over and over again. In light of this, I have determined to myself that I, along with my whole family, will work on losing our extra weight. This heavy baggage that we carry around in our bodies will have to go. I hope that some of you will take that journey with me.

I’m sad to report that all of the companies that used to send me books for review before have decided that it’s too expensive to send books outside the USA. With the advent of ebooks, they now send only ebook copies to their international reviewers. The upside of this is that I am back to reading books for pleasure now. I have certainly missed doing that. Receiving books and writing reviews for them have made reading less pleasurable for me and more like work. I’ll still be reviewing books and homeschool materials, but this time, I’ll be writing about the books that I love and the materials that we really use for homeschool.

What am I saying here? I’m saying that it’s time for growth. As I grow in maturity, my blog will also grow. I pray and hope that you will continue to be there for me. On my part, my life goal is still the same -

“To use my life experiences and my writing to encourage and motivate
others to live victoriously.”
