Review: Medela Pump In Style Advanced Breast Pump

Jan 29, 2014 | Posted by in All Product Reviews, Motherhood | 0

When my son, Zac, was born 7 weeks premature, one of the first things the neonatologist told me was that I had to provide breastmilk for him. Breastfeeding was not a problem for me since I’ve breastfed four babies in the past. The problem was that Zac was still in an incubator and would be staying there for a minimum of one month. How could I provide breastmilk when there was no way Zac could breastfeed from me? Without a baby suckling on my breast, I worried that I won’t be able to produce much milk. But I was a very determined mom. I had to provide the best source of nutrition for my baby.Read more …

Energized and Fulfilled Woman of God DVD by Lorrie Flem: A Gabby Moms Review

FROM EXHAUSTED, IRRITABLE AND OVERWHELMED TO… AN ENERGIZED & FULFILLED WOMAN OF GOD I believe many mothers would agree, no matter how much of a mouthful the title of this new product is, everybody can relate to it. Whether a mother is homeschooling, staying at home, working outside the home, staying and working at home or whatever situation she may have, exhaustion, irritability and overwhelmed is a part of motherhood. Because of this, guilt is a big part of it as well. When we are exhausted, irritable and overwhelmed, we tend to treat the ones we love with a lot less patience and a lot less love and affection. So we feel the guilt. ThenRead more …

Book Review: False Witness by Randy Singer

Wow, wow and wow! False Witness by Randy Singer is such a great read! Randy Singer is a great storyteller, weaving a suspense, legal thriller with truths about God and the Bible. This book is so good! Okay, I’m raving here and I haven’t even talked about the actual story yet. So here it goes. Book Review: Made To Crave by Lysa Terkeurst

Made To Crave – Satisfying Your Deepest Desire With God, Not Food by Lysa Terkeurst is not another diet book. It does not have low calorie recipes, nor does it have a diet recommendation. It doesn’t have a set of exercise to follow everyday. It’s definitely not your usual book on health and nutrition. “This book is not a how-to manual or the latest, greatest dieting plan. Made To Crave is a helpful companion to use alongside whatever healthy eating approach you choose – a book and bible study to help you find the “want to” in how to make healthy lifestyle changes.” Instead, Made To Crave will help the person who is struggling withRead more …

Homeschool Planner Review: The 2011-12 Schoolhouse Planner – Making A Plan for School and Home

As I have written in my previous post on our Homeschool Update, I said that planning and scheduling is the key to avoid the overwhelming activities of homeschooling and homemaking. An organization tool, therefore, is a necessity for the homeschool mom. Those generic planners that you find in your local bookstore won’t do for me. I needed something that I can customize. I needed a tool that had everything for me in one go. From my grocery list, daily menu to homeschool planning, daily lesson plans, yearly schedules to book lists, birthday lists, prayer lists and all those other nitty gritty details that make up our family life. The 2011 – 12 Schoolhouse Planner oneRead more …

Website Review and Giveaway: Pen Pal Kids Club

Jul 13, 2011 | Posted by in All Product Reviews, Giveaways | 4

I remember when I was still a young kid, about elementary age, one of my classmates had us sign a form to apply for pen pals from different countries. Not long after, I received a letter from a boy same age as me, asking to be my pen pal. He was from a European country, I can’t remember which exactly. We exchanged a few letters. Of course, I had to get my mom to mail the letters for me. It was fun getting to know another kid, I learned some things about his life and his country. I also learned the art of writing letters. There are times when I reminisce about my childhood andRead more …
